Turn right onto Wueste Road and continue for approximately 2.2 miles to Otay Lakes County Park. The trail curved around to the right, and around .45 mile we came to a “T” junction where a short spur trail on the left led to an overlook. Otay Lakes County Park is a small park on the southern shore of Lower Otay Lake in Chula Vista. We topped a rise and found a nice bench overlooking the lake. The rest of the county was cloudy and ugly, and this park was gorgeous all day.

Head to Lower Otay Lake, home of the US Olympic training center for rowing sports, to paddle with the pros and get some serious workout motivation. The park ranger and the maintinence people were extremely polite and helpful with making my event amazing, and the facilities were clean and looked great. -laundry (requires $5 bills - no others work) (The trail on the left quickly leads to a sign that reads “Park Boundary – Unstable Cliffs” so we didn’t explore further).

Head east on Olympic Parkway and continue for approximately 6.8 miles. 14615 Otay Lakes Rd Jamul CA 91935. We parked in the upper parking lot near the backside of the park. Turn right onto Wueste Road and continue for approximately 2.2 miles to Otay Lakes County Park. The trail curved around to the right, and around .45 mile we came to a “T” junction where a short spur trail on the left led to an overlook. Otay Lakes County Park is a small park on the southern shore of Lower Otay Lake in Chula Vista. We topped a rise and found a nice bench overlooking the lake. The rest of the county was cloudy and ugly, and this park was gorgeous all day.
